This Privacy Policy explains how BetterBallance (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Florida, USA, collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit betterballance.com (the “Site”) or buy from us. Questions? Email us at info@betterballance.com.
1. Information we collect
- Information you provide: when you place an order or contact us, your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number (optional), order details, order notes and messages.
- Payment information: payments are processed by PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card or bank account details, only what is needed for your order (e.g., payment status, name, email address and address).
- Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, date and time of your visit, and the website, search engine or campaign that referred you, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 4).
2. How we use your information
- to process, ship and deliver your order and to handle payments, returns and refunds;
- to send you order-related emails and to answer your questions;
- to prevent fraud and abuse and to keep the Site secure;
- to understand, in aggregated form, how the Site is used and how customers find us;
- to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only send marketing emails if you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our store, and only as far as they need it:
- Automattic Inc. (WordPress.com, WooCommerce): hosting, store software, site statistics and fraud protection;
- PayPal: payment processing and fraud checks, also under PayPal’s own privacy statement;
- Google LLC: Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our checkout against bots and fraud. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA, and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply;
- Stripe, Inc.: fraud-prevention signals used by our store’s payment software;
- Shipping carriers: name, shipping address and, if needed, email address or phone number;
- Authorities and advisors: where required by law or to protect our rights.
4. Cookies
We and our service providers use cookies and your browser’s local storage for the shopping cart and checkout, security and fraud prevention (Google reCAPTCHA, PayPal, Stripe, WooCommerce), site statistics and order attribution (how you reached our Site), and to remember your preferences, such as your language. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout will not work without the necessary cookies.
Our Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. Third parties such as Google and PayPal may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites.
5. Retention and security
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting laws require (typically up to seven years), and other information only as long as needed. We protect your information with reasonable measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing info@betterballance.com. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We will respond within the time required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We may need to keep certain information, for example for tax purposes.
7. Children
Our products and Site are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
